Conference “10 years of EITI in Ukraine: achievement and perspectives”

The Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) is an independent and voluntary internationally supported standard for ensuring transparency, currently implemented in 57 countries worldwide. Ukraine joined the Initiative back in 2013 and has since fully integrated the Standard into its legislation.

This year, Ukraine became one of the three countries to receive the prestigious EITI Chairs Award 2023 for continuing the implementation of the EITI Standard, despite numerous challenges and limitations that arose after russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

During the conference, the results of the 10-year implementation of the EITI Standard in Ukraine will be summarized, key achievements of the EITI will be discussed. In addition, participants will discuss new challenges for further implementation of the Standard due to the expansion of its requirements, as well as the upcoming development plans.

Among the speakers of the event are the initiators of the Standard implementation in Ukraine, the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, Chair and members of the EITI Board, the Executive Director of the EITI International Secretariat, representatives of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the International Renaissance Foundation, the analytical center DiXi Group, market experts, and others.
