Critical infrastructure facilities are connected to backup power systems
281,072 consumers are without electricity in the Sumy region. Tonight, the Russians struck the objects of the energy system in this region from aircraft. This was reported by the Sumy OVA in Telegram.
Russian troops attacked the facilities of the energy system with Shahed unmanned aerial vehicles. Villages of Konotop, Okhtyr, and Sumy districts, as well as the city of Sumy, were targeted.
Currently, water utilities, hospitals and other facilities are connected to backup power systems.
Oblenergo emergency crews are conducting restoration work.
Ukrainian air defense forces shot down 16 Shaheds over the territory of Sumy Oblast.
