Rising air temperatures are leading to increased use of air conditioners by households and businesses
According to the press service of NPC Ukrenergo, electricity consumption in Ukraine increased today, Friday, July 4. Thus, as of 9:30 a.m., its level was 5.4% higher than the day before.
As explained by Ukrenergo, the reason for the increase in energy consumption is the establishment of hot weather throughout Ukraine, which leads to the active use of air conditioners by household consumers and businesses.
The daily maximum consumption was recorded yesterday evening, Thursday, July 3. It was 3% higher than Wednesday's maximum.
The country's energy system is balanced as of July 4, and no planned restrictions for consumers are foreseen, the press service of the Ministry of Energy reports.
At the same time, the transmission system operator reminds that the Ukrainian power system is still recovering from the Russian massive missile and drone attacks, emergency and restoration work is ongoing at energy facilities. Also, energy workers are actively preparing equipment for the next heating season and periods of increased load in the summer, the Ministry of Energy emphasizes.
Therefore, consumers are urged to use electricity rationally, especially during peak consumption hours in the morning and evening, to help reduce the load on the system.
In particular, Ukrenergo says, there is still a need to shift active energy consumption, that is, the use of powerful electrical appliances, to the period of the most productive operation of solar power plants - from 10:00 to 18:00.
You can learn about possible changes in the situation in the power system from messages on the websites and official pages on social networks of regional distribution system operators (oblenergo), Ukrenergo reminds.
As reported by "Ukrainian Energy", electricity consumption in Ukraine yesterday, Thursday, July 3, showed a growing trend. As of Thursday morning, its level was 3% higher than the previous day - Wednesday.
