Electricity consumption is decreasing, partly due to the weather
According to the press service of NPC Ukrenergo, electricity consumption today, on Wednesday, July 31, is showing a downward trend. As of 9:30 a.m., it was 7% lower than at the same time the previous day, on Wednesday.
The transmission system operator attributes the decrease in energy consumption to the decrease in heat throughout Ukraine. In addition, sunny weather in most regions leads to the efficient operation of household solar power plants (SPPs) and a corresponding decrease in energy consumption from the general network.
Yesterday, July 30, the daily maximum consumption was recorded in the afternoon. It was 5% lower than the maximum of the previous day - on Tuesday, July 29. The reason is a significant decrease in air temperature.
The country's energy system is balanced as of July 31, and no planned restrictions for consumers are foreseen, the press service of the Ministry of Energy reports.
Also, according to Ukrenergo, due to adverse weather conditions (thunderstorm, squalls) on the morning of July 31, 75 settlements in six regions were completely or partially without power. Repair crews of the regional energy company are eliminating damage to the lines. Power engineers plan to restore power to all subscribers by the end of the day.
As reported by "Ukrainian Energy", as of yesterday morning, Wednesday, July 30, electricity consumption was at the same level as on the morning of the previous day - Tuesday.
About 500 families in 7 high-rise buildings in Kyiv were left without electricity as a result of an attack by Russian troops on the night of July 31. A transformer substation was damaged.
