109 settlements in 6 regions lost power due to bad weather
From 7:00 to 22:00, electricity consumption restrictions are in effect in most regions
Due to difficult weather conditions (heavy precipitation and accumulation of wet snow), 109 settlements in Ukraine were without electricity this morning - in Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad, Sumy, Kyiv, Chernihiv and Chernivtsi regions.
This was reported by NPC Ukrenergo.
Today, November 21, at 5:00 AM, electricity consumption was 1% lower than at the same time the previous day, Wednesday. Yesterday, November 20, the daily maximum consumption was recorded in the morning. It was 1.5% higher than the previous day's maximum.
Energy experts remind that the power system is being restored after 10 massive attacks by Russians. Emergency and scheduled repairs are underway at power facilities. There is still a significant capacity deficit in the power system.
To balance the power system, hourly outage schedules are in effect in most regions today from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. In particular, in Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zhytomyr, Zaporizhia, Kyiv, Kirovohrad, Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Cherkasy, Chernihiv regions and Kyiv:
- from 8:00 to 19:00, two queues of disconnections will be in effect;
- from 19:00 to 22:00, one queue of disconnections will be applied in the named regions.
In Odessa, Mykolaiv and Kherson regions, one queue of disconnections will be in effect until 22:00.
The situation in the power system is changing, and accordingly, changes in the application of restrictive measures are possible. Find out the current schedule of outages in your region on the website or official pages of the distribution system operator (oblenergo).
Imports from Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Hungary, Moldova continue throughout the day. Total volume 6,479 MWh, with maximum capacity in some hours up to 608 MW.
As reported by "Ukrainian Energy", on Thursday in Kyiv, Kyiv, Odessa, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk regions, emergency power outages are applied at the direction of Ukrenergo.
