Electricity consumption in Ukraine slightly decreased due to sunny weather
However, energy experts ask to consume electricity economically between 08:00 and 20:00
Today, January 14, electricity consumption is 1.9% lower than at the same time the previous day. This is reported by NPC Ukrenergo.
The reason for the decrease is sunny weather in most regions, which makes household solar power plants work more efficiently.
On January 13, the daily maximum consumption was recorded in the morning. It was 7.3% higher than the maximum of the previous working day. This is explained by a significant decrease in temperature in all regions of Ukraine and the establishment of frosty weather in the western regions.
Ukrenergo reminds that the power system is currently continuing to recover after thirteen massive missile and drone attacks by Russians over the past year. Emergency restoration work at the facilities is ongoing.
Today, from 08:00 to 20:00, there is a need to save electricity. If possible, do not use powerful electrical appliances during this period and do not turn on several devices at the same time.
As reported by "Ukrainian Energy", as of today, 69 substations of NPP "Ukrenergo" have been provided with the second level of protection, and work is underway on 13 more. This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.
