Residents of over 100 settlements remain without electricity on July 1

01 July 2025

Due to bad weather on the morning of July 1, 103 settlements in four regions of Ukraine were completely or partially without power

According to the press service of NPC Ukrenergo, as of Tuesday morning, July 1, 103 settlements in four regions were completely or partially without electricity due to adverse weather conditions (rain, thunderstorms, and strong gusts of wind). Power engineers are carrying out emergency repair work on damaged lines in order to restore power to all subscribers as soon as possible.

Electricity consumption today, July 1, is showing a downward trend, Ukrenergo states. As of 9:30 a.m., its level was 3.2% lower than the previous day, Monday. Clear and cool weather in most regions of Ukraine ensures the efficient operation of household solar power plants (SPPs) and at the same time does not encourage consumers to use air conditioners, the transmission system operator explains.

Yesterday, June 30, the daily maximum consumption was recorded in the evening. It was 1.2% lower than the maximum of the previous working day - on Friday, June 27.

In general, the country's power system is balanced as of July 1, and no planned restrictions for consumers are foreseen, the press service of the Ministry of Energy reports.

At the same time, the transmission system operator emphasizes that active energy consumption, i.e. the use of powerful electrical appliances, should be postponed to the period of the most productive operation of the solar power plant - from 10:00 to 18:00. After all, the country's power system continues to recover after massive Russian missile and drone attacks.

In addition, the Ministry of Energy notes that energy companies are carrying out regulatory technical measures to prepare the energy infrastructure for the next heating season and ensure its reliable operation in the summer. Therefore, rational use of electricity will help reduce the load on the energy system.

As reported by "Ukrainian Energy", as of yesterday morning, Monday, June 30, the level of electricity consumption in Ukraine was 3.1% lower than the previous working day - Friday, June 27.
