They talked about preparing the Ukrainian energy system for winter
In New York, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi met with the heads of leading American energy, financial and insurance companies.
The head of state thanked the American business and the US administration for their support in restoring Ukrainian energy facilities.
"The issue of energy concerns not only the present, but also the future. We have to prepare for the heating season, because this is our weakness. After all, the power grid is attacked every day. This is not just rhetoric, these are real pragmatic attacks by Putin," the President said.
Volodymyr Zelenskyi emphasized that a lot had been done to prepare for winter thanks to the support of partners. At the same time, the work carried out by the state, in particular for the decentralization of the energy system, is also important. However, Ukraine needs increased aid, in particular - transformers.
During the meeting, in particular, the participants discussed plans for preparing the Ukrainian energy system for winter and the possibility of implementing joint projects in the energy sector.
