The expected capacity will be 192 MW.
OKKO has begun preparatory work on the construction of another wind farm with a larger capacity of 192 MW.
The company reported this.
It is noted that the total cost of the project is estimated at 300 million euros.
The company adds that OKKO plans to use both its own and borrowed funds for the construction of the wind farm. One of the steps towards the implementation of this project was the signing of mandate letters with the EBRD and IFC at the Ukraine Recovery Conference-2025 forum in Rome on July 10-11. On the part of OKKO, OKKO CEO Vasyl Danylyak, Vice President for Finance Nazar Kupibida, and Director of the Renewable Energy Department Oleksa Konenko took part in the signing procedure.
The report states that the launch of this power plant is scheduled for 2028.
LIGA.net writes that the project is currently undergoing due diligence and is awaiting approval by the management and boards of directors of the IFC and EBRD. It will be one of the largest wind farms in Ukraine, the second largest in the unoccupied territories.
OKKO CEO Vasyl Danylyak said that the second wind farm – the Zaturtsi wind farm in the Volyn region – will have 32 turbines of 5.9 MW each. Electricity production will be about 612 GWh per year.
As reported by "Ukrainian Energy", the OKKO group is already building a 147 MW Ivanychi wind power plant (WPP) in the Volyn region with a total cost of 225 million euros (excluding VAT).
In general, OKKO plans to increase its renewable energy capacity to almost 1 GW in 5 years. This includes wind and solar power capacity, energy storage facilities, and opening a bioethanol production plant.
