Nearly Zero Energy Buildings are buildings with close to zero energy consumption. The requirements for them were developed in the Ministry of Regions
The Ministry of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine has developed requirements for buildings according to the NZEB standard in Ukraine. The department reports about this on its Facebook page.
NZEB - Nearly Zero Energy Buildings - are buildings with close to zero energy consumption. They have high energy efficiency indicators, and a significant part of their energy consumption is provided by renewable energy sources, in particular, wind or sun.
The transition to the construction of NZEB buildings is provided for by the European Union Directives, where all new premises are built according to this standard from 2020. As part of the implementation of the Association Agreement with the EU, Ukraine also undertook to implement this mechanism, because the transition to construction according to the NZEB standard is an important step on the way to reducing energy consumption and energy independence of Ukraine.
The Ministry of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine, in cooperation with leading specialists and organizations in the field of energy efficiency, developed requirements for NZEB buildings. Several indicators and parameters are defined there, according to which the compliance of the building with the NZEB standard will be checked.
Such premises provide not only coziness, comfort and environmental friendliness, but also allow you to save the family budget on paying for communal services and energy resources.
As "Ukrainian Energy" reported, тhe EBRD is preparing to provide a $62 million long-term loan to the companies "Wind Power GS I Volyn" and "Wind Power GS I Volyn 3" for the construction of a wind power plant with a capacity of 147 MW in the Volyn region.
