As of Thursday morning, July 17, Ukrenergo records a decrease in energy consumption due to the decrease in heat
According to the press service of NPC Ukrenergo, electricity consumption in Ukraine decreased today, Thursday, July 17. As of 9:30 a.m., its level was 5.8% lower than on Wednesday morning. This is due to the decrease in heat in most regions of Ukraine, the transmission system operator explains.
Yesterday, July 16, the daily maximum consumption was recorded in the afternoon. It was 2% higher than the previous day - Tuesday, July 15.
The Ministry of Energy reports that as of July 17, the country's power system is balanced, and no planned restrictions for consumers are foreseen.
Ukrenergo also informs that due to adverse weather conditions (thunderstorm, strong wind), 24 settlements in three regions were completely or partially without electricity as of the morning of July 17. Power engineers have begun emergency restoration work and predict that power supply to all subscribers who lost power due to the weather will be restored within the current day.
As Ukrainian Energy reported, yesterday, Wednesday, July 16, Ukrenergo recorded an increase in electricity consumption in Ukraine due to the heat, as well as high cloudiness and rain in some western regions.
