Preparation for the heating season, restoration of energy infrastructure based on the principles of sustainability, "green" transition and decarbonization, creation of a strategic reserve of equipment, development of a new, decentralized energy system, its integration with the EU - these are the main priorities of the newly elected Minister of Energy of Ukraine, Svitlana Grinchuk.
She wrote about this on Facebook after her election at the Verkhovna Rada meeting on July 17.
"Energy is the foundation of the economy. Therefore, the key task today is to provide the country with resources for life and work: light and heat for people, energy for industry. And there is no room for error here," Grinchuk wrote.
The Minister added that a key cross-cutting priority is also the development of human capital, ensuring a high-quality human resource potential for the sector. She called people the greatest asset.
As reported by "Ukrainian Energy", Svitlana Grinchuk is the new Minister of Energy of Ukraine. She will replace Herman Galushchenko in this position. Before her previous appointment to the Ministry of Environmental Protection, she worked as his deputy for a year.
