The implementation of the monitoring system for the provision of services for connecting to electricity networks will start on August 1, 2025, and its full operation will begin on August 31
The National Commission for State Regulation of Energy and Utilities (NCRECU) will implement a system for monitoring the provision of services for connection to electricity networks from August 2025, the press service of the agency reports.
This is a step towards a more transparent and efficient energy market, explains the NEURC.
In this regard, at the meeting on July 15, the regulator adopted a number of resolutions on amendments to regulatory legal acts, as well as the resolution "On approval of Methodological recommendations on the functioning of the connection monitoring system and the Schedule for the implementation of the connection monitoring system."
"The start of the system implementation is set for August 1, 2025. During the first 30 days, the schedule provides for a phased launch of the connection monitoring system, and from the 31st day - its full functioning," the NEURC said in a statement.
The new system allows you to automatically:
● collect, monitor and summarize information on how system operators provide connection services;
● timely detect, respond and prevent possible violations;
● monitor compliance with deadlines;
● prevent manipulation of reporting data.
"The connection monitoring system is a transformation of approaches to controlling the provision of services: less bureaucracy, more automation and efficiency," the NEURC emphasized.
The Energy Community Secretariat noted that the adopted changes are aimed at improving consumer service, the National Commission for Energy and Utilities of Ukraine (NECU) said. It is expected that this will be achieved by implementing automated systems for monitoring connection services, strengthening control over compliance with requirements by transmission and distribution system operators, simplifying reporting procedures, and ensuring real-time exchange of information on the status of service provision.
As reported by "Ukrainian Energy", the Ministry of Energy assures that despite the heat and increased consumption, the power system is operating stably, and there is enough capacity for the needs of the population and industry.
