Electricity consumption increased in Ukraine due to cold weather
Today from 08:00 to 19:00 there is a need to save electricity
Today, January 13, electricity consumption is 7.6% higher than at the same time of the previous working day - Friday. The reason for such a significant increase is a significant decrease in temperature throughout Ukraine. This is reported by NPC Ukrenergo.
On January 12, the daily maximum consumption was recorded in the evening. And the figure was 1.9% lower than the previous Sunday, January 5.
Ukrenergo reminds that the system is currently continuing to recover after thirteen massive missile and drone attacks by Russians over the past year. Emergency restoration work at energy facilities is ongoing.
The message emphasizes that today from 08:00 to 19:00 there is a need to consume electricity economically. Therefore, if possible, energy specialists ask not to use powerful electrical appliances and not to turn on several devices simultaneously during this time period.

As reported by "Ukrainian Energy", 69 substations of NPC Ukrenergo have currently been provided with the second level of protection, and work is underway on 13 more. Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced this on Friday.
