More disconnection groups are now available
At the end of last week, Ukrenergo made a decision to change the electricity outage schedule. NEC announced this on social networks. The new schedules are effective from today. From now on, more groups of electricity outages will appear.
NEK notes that the main goal of the changes is to make restrictions fairer and increase the amount of time with light for everyone. At 01:00, DTEK published new schedules for Kyiv, as well as Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Odessa regions.
From December 16, 12 power outage schedules will be introduced instead of the 6 that were in effect before. More precisely, 2 subgroups have appeared in each of the 6 groups. For example, queue 1 contains subgroups 1.1 and 1.2. For example, in Kyiv today the following outage schedules will be in effect:
- queues 1.1 and 1.2 will have no electricity from 12:00 to 15:30 and from 19:00 to 20:00;
- queues 2.1 and 2.2 will have no electricity from 08:30 to 12:00;
- queues 3.1 and 3.2 will have no electricity from 07:00 to 08:30 and from 15:00 to 17:00;
- queue 4.1 will have no electricity from 12:00 to 19:00, but queue 4.2 will have electricity all day;
- queues 5.1 and 5.2 will have no electricity from 15:30 to 19:00;
- queues 6.1 and 6.2 will have no electricity from 08:00 to 12:00.
For industry and business, restrictions will be in effect for an hour longer on December 16.
Namely: 07:00–21:00 — power restriction schedules. nergy experts emphasize that the time and volume of outages may vary depending on the situation in the power system.
The main principles of the new schedules:
- group division: each queue is divided into two subgroups, in case of load reduction, only one subgroup can be disconnected;
- time with light: now between disconnections, consumers will have at least 3.5 hours with electricity;
- operational management: dispatchers can adjust the number of disconnected queues depending on the state of the power system.
The new approach allows for a more even distribution of the load, which provides predictability for consumers. Unified schedules guarantee fairness and transparency of the shutdown process. They take into account the needs of consumers at different times of the day and on weekends. Residents of each region will know the exact time when their turn will be disconnected or connected. However, it is worth understanding that in cases of accidents, network damage or other critical situations, schedules may be adjusted.
For industry and business, control over the implementation of capacity limitation schedules has been strengthened. If enterprises do not comply with the orders, operators can apply emergency shutdowns to ensure the stability of the power system. You can find the updated schedules on the website of your regional energy authority or its official pages on social networks.
As reported by "Ukrainian Energy", on the night and morning of December 13, Russian troops carried out another, already the 12th since the beginning of the year, massive missile and drone attack on the energy system. Energy facilities in several regions were damaged.
