From now on, the role of the state in making strategic decisions will be strengthened
Amendments to the Charter of NPC Ukrenergo have been registered, the Ministry of Energy reports. It is noted that from now on, the role of the state in making strategic decisions has been strengthened.
It was emphasized that in the process of preparing the new version of the Statute, the Ministry was guided by the fact that state representatives should strengthen their role in the work of the transmission system operator, taking into account the importance of the company in strengthening Ukraine's energy security.
"In particular, this concerns the mandatory participation of a state representative in the approval of transmission system development plans for the next 10 years, approval of investment programs of the electricity transmission licensee, and appointment of the Chairman of the Board of the Company," the agency said in a statement.
The updated Charter also stipulates the obligation of the Supervisory Board to conduct a competitive selection of the Chairman of the Management Board within 90 days from the date of dismissal of the previous Chairman. Thus, a limitation on the term of the temporary acting chairman in this position has been established. This will allow the Supervisory Board to ensure the selection of a full-fledged head of NPC Ukrenergo and to carry out debt restructuring.
The Ministry of Energy is grateful to international partners for supporting the Ministry's position on legally strengthening the role of the state in making important strategic decisions.
As reported by "Ukrainian Energy", the voltage standard in the electrical network will change in Ukraine from July 1. Instead of the current 220 volts, 230 volts will be used.
