On the morning of June 10, electricity consumption in Ukraine was 7.7% lower than the morning of the previous day, thanks to sunny but not hot weather
According to the press service of NPC Ukrenergo, electricity consumption in Ukraine today, Tuesday, June 10, is showing a downward trend. As of 9:30 a.m., its level was 7.7% lower than the previous day, Monday.
The transmission system operator explains this by the decrease in heat in most regions, as well as clear weather in almost the entire territory of the country, which ensures the efficient operation of household solar power plants (SPPs).
Yesterday, June 9, the daily maximum consumption was recorded in the evening. It was 3% lower than the maximum of the previous working day - Friday, June 6, as the decrease in air temperature reduced the need to use air conditioners.
At the same time, due to difficult weather conditions (thunderstorms, strong wind), 29 settlements in three regions remained completely or partially without power as of the morning of June 10. By the end of the day, the regional energy company crews plan to restore power to all subscribers, Ukrenergo reports.
The Ministry of Energy reports that as of June 10, Ukraine's power system is balanced, and no planned restrictions for consumers are foreseen.
Despite this, there is still a need to shift active energy consumption to daytime hours, from 10:00 to 18:00, as the power system is still recovering from massive missile and drone attacks. Energy workers are also carrying out ongoing scheduled repairs to prepare equipment for the next heating season.
As reported by "Ukrainian Energy", as of yesterday morning, Monday, June 9, the level of electricity consumption was 2.5% higher than the previous working day - Friday.
