Ukraine applies power outage schedules on December 25
Measures to limit electricity consumption have been introduced due to the 13th massive Russian missile and drone attack on Ukrainian energy facilities this year
According to the press service of NPC Ukrenergo, today, December 25, hourly power outages will be in effect in Ukraine until the end of the day.
Measures to limit electricity consumption were forcibly introduced due to damage to energy facilities as a result of another, already the 13th since the beginning of the year, massive missile and drone attack carried out by Russian troops on the night and morning of December 25.
The schedules of forced application of restrictions in each region can be found on the websites and official pages of the relevant regional energy companies on social networks.
The transmission system operator has applied the necessary consumption limitation measures to minimize negative consequences for the power system, explains Ukrainian Energy Minister Herman Galushchenko.
Ukrenergo reminds that the Ukrainian power system is currently continuing to recover from previous hostile missile and drone attacks, and a significant power deficit remains. Therefore, there is a need to consume electricity economically, in particular, not to turn on several powerful electrical appliances at the same time when the light comes on according to schedule.
As reported by "Ukrainian Energy", today, Wednesday, December 25, Russian troops carried out another massive terrorist attack on the energy infrastructure of Ukraine. As a result of enemy strikes, the equipment of the TPP was seriously damaged. After the shelling ended, the energy sector quickly began to eliminate the damage and restore the equipment.
