The strategic importance of Energoatom goes beyond Ukraine, which makes the company a key partner in regional security and cooperation, believes Yarek Neverovich
The Supervisory Board of JSC "NAEK "Energoatom" at its regular meeting after the July founding meeting elected Yarek Neverovich as its chairman, and Michael Elliott Kirst as its deputy, who also headed the audit committee established by the board.
This was reported by the company's press service on Friday evening, January 17.
It is also noted that in the absence of a third independent member of the Supervisory Board (SB), it is expected that decisions on the establishment of the Nomination Committee and the Remuneration Committee will be made as soon as possible after the SB receives the relevant legal opinions.
"The strategic importance of NNEGC Energoatom also extends beyond Ukraine, making the company a key partner in regional strategic security and cooperation. Our responsibility is not only to help ensure the uninterrupted supply of the necessary electricity for the country, but also to position Energoatom as a model of corporate governance and innovation," commented Yarek Neverovich.
Transparency and open communication are defined by the guiding principles of the Supervisory Board, and the company itself strives to promote meaningful dialogue and cooperation with local and central authorities, as well as with stakeholders at the international level, the message says.
"The future of Energoatom depends on our ability to maintain trusting relationships, remain adaptable, and adhere to the highest standards of management. We will fulfill the tasks set before us on time, ensuring stability and continuity for all who count on us," Neverovich assured.
As reported by "Ukrainian Energy", the European Union has not expressed an official position either "for" or "against" the construction of new units of the Khmelnytskyi NPP, and whether or not to build additional nuclear capacity in Ukraine is a decision for the Ukrainian authorities. This was stated by the EU Ambassador to Ukraine Katarina Maternova.
