The halt in the transportation of Russian natural gas through Ukraine was commented on the X network by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga.
In particular, he wrote today: "Ukraine did not simply block the transit of Russian gas. We deprived Putin of one of his last levers of influence over Europe and the ability to use energy as a weapon. Europe and the world will be safer without Russian gas, oil, and other dependencies, as well as without Russia itself."
As reported by "Ukrainian Energy", since January 1, the gas transportation system of Ukraine has been operating in a mode of no transit of Russian gas. The infrastructure of the gas transportation system has been prepared in advance for operation in a mode of zero transit and reliable gas supply to Ukrainian consumers.
