Electricity consumption in Ukraine is high. Imports occur from 5 countries

02 December 2024

There is a need for economical electricity consumption throughout the day

Today, December 2, at 6:00, the level of electricity consumption was 6% higher than at the same time of the previous working day - Friday, November 29. This was reported by NPC Ukrenergo.

"This is explained by the smaller volume of application of restrictive measures," the company noted.

Yesterday, December 1, the daily maximum consumption was recorded in the evening. It was at the same level as the maximum of the previous day - on Saturday, November 30.

The power system is still recovering from 11 massive Russian attacks - a significant power shortage remains. Emergency repairs are ongoing at power facilities. Hourly outages for residential consumers and power restriction schedules for industry and business are now being enforced in all regions.

The situation in the power system is changing, and accordingly, changes in the application of restrictive measures are possible. For the current schedule of outages in your region, please visit the website or official pages of the distribution system operator (oblenergo). Electricity imports from Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Hungary, Moldova continue throughout the day. Total volume 10,759 MWh, with maximum capacity in individual hours up to 850 MW.

As reported by "Ukrainian Energy", on Monday, December 2, NPC Ukrenergo will apply hourly electricity restrictions for household consumers in 1-2 shifts.
