The Ministry of Energy has elected state representatives to the Supervisory Board of LLC "Gas Transportation System Operator of Ukraine" (GTSOU) and completed the formation of its composition
The Ministry of Energy has elected two new state representatives to the Supervisory Board of OGTSU LLC in accordance with the requirements of the legislation and taking into account the Cabinet of Ministers' Order No. 607-r dated June 25, 2025, the press service of the Ministry of Energy reports.
Vitaliy Zubriy and Ruslan Strylets became members of the Supervisory Board of the GTS Operator, their term of office is three years. The Supervisory Board of the GTS Operator also includes three independent experts.
"The composition of the supervisory board was formed taking into account key competencies. This allows for a systematic approach to management and effective implementation of strategic initiatives," the Ministry of Energy notes.
The formation of the Supervisory Board is another step towards strengthening corporate governance in the energy sector. The Board ensures strategic oversight, transparent management and smooth functioning of the OGTSU, which is essential for national security and gas transit to the EU countries.
The appointment of members of the supervisory board is part of the Ministry of Energy's comprehensive policy on reforming corporate governance in state-owned enterprises and is consistent with Ukraine's international obligations.
For reference. Ruslan Strylets is a specialist in the field of ecology and public administration. He worked in the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration and regional environmental structures. In 2015–2019, he headed the Department of Ecology of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration.
Since 2019, he worked at the Ministry of Energy and Environmental Protection, and later at the Ministry of Environment. In 2022, he was appointed Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine. He headed the ministry until September 2024.
Vitaliy Zubriy is an economist, a specialist in the field of financial monitoring. During 2004–2010, he was the First Deputy Head of the State Department and the State Committee for Financial Monitoring of Ukraine.
As Ukrainian Energy reported, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) insists on the appointment of the head of the State Nuclear Power Plant and the formation of the Energoatom Management Board and points to the need to further strengthen corporate governance of state-owned enterprises in Ukraine.
