DTEK energy engineers are working to restore power supply in Kyiv after a massive Russian attack on the night of June 17
"Due to shelling by Russian occupiers, 1,148 homes of Kyiv residents were left without electricity. Energy workers began working on restoration immediately after receiving permits from the State Emergency Service and the police. We are doing everything possible to restore electricity to every family as soon as possible," the DTEK press service said in a statement.
As President Volodymyr Zelensky reported on Telegram, on the night of June 17, Russian troops carried out another massive missile and drone attack on Ukraine. The enemy launched more than 440 drones and 32 missiles.
"One of the most terrible strikes on Kyiv. Also during the night, Odesa, Zaporizhia, Chernihiv, Zhytomyr, Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv, and Kyiv regions were attacked," the president's message states.
As reported by the Air Force of Ukraine, on the night of June 17 (from 8:00 p.m. on June 16), the enemy attacked 472 air attack vehicles:
- 440 Shahed attack UAVs and simulator drones of various types from the following directions: Kursk, Shatalovo, Orel, Bryansk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk - RF, about 280 of them - "Shaheeds";
- 2 Kh-47M2 "Dagger" aeroballistic missiles from the airspace of the Tambov region - RF;
- 16 Kh-101 cruise missiles from strategic aviation aircraft from the airspace of the Saratov region - RF;
- 4 Kalibr cruise missiles from the Black Sea;
- 9 Kh-59/69 guided aircraft missiles from tactical aviation aircraft from the airspace of the Belgorod and Bryansk regions;
- 1 Kh-31P anti-radar missile.
It is noted that the main target of the attack was the city of Kyiv.
As of the morning of June 17, 15 people were reported dead and 114 injured.
June 18 has been declared a Day of Mourning in Kyiv. In memory of the victims of the massive enemy attack on the capital. This was announced by Kyiv Mayor Volodymyr Klitschko.
