Ukraine will lack 3-4 GW
The International Monetary Fund estimates the electricity shortage in winter at the level of 3-4 gigawatts.
This is stated in the 5th IMF report on Ukraine.
According to experts, a significant shortage of electricity (3-4 GW) is expected in Ukraine in winter. Moreover, the risks of decline prevail, as the missile attacks do not stop," the message says.
The Ukrainian authorities have an ambitious goal of building an additional 1 GW of electricity and increasing imports from the European Union to 3 GW.
As "Ukrainian Energetica" reported, the National Bank of Ukraine left unchanged its assessment of the electricity shortage in Ukraine in 2024 at the level of 7%.
