As of November 1, over 900 MW of reserve capacity has been installed at critical infrastructure facilities in Ukraine. This is stated in a statement by the Association of Small Towns of Ukraine, citing data from the State Energy Supervision Agency.
"These measures are aimed at ensuring the uninterrupted operation of facilities that are vital for the functioning of communities in the event of power outages," the statement said. In addition, work is underway to install and connect distributed gas generation throughout the country.
"An important role in achieving these results was played by the support of international financial organizations and donors. Thanks to their contribution, numerous projects aimed at strengthening the energy security of communities have been implemented," the Association noted.
As reported by "Ukrainian Energy", emergency shutdowns were introduced in the Ternopil region today - due to a UAV attack. As a result of yesterday's bad weather, 38 settlements in two regions are still without power.
