Electricity consumption decreases in Ukraine due to clear weather
However, energy experts urge people to use powerful electrical appliances from 10:00 to 16:00, if possible
Electricity consumption is showing a downward trend, according to Ukrenergo NPC.
The agency notes that on May 22, at 9:30 a.m., consumption was 3.5% lower than at the same time on Wednesday. The reason is clear weather, which allows for the efficient operation of household solar power plants and a corresponding reduction in energy consumption from the general grid.
Ukrenergo's statement says that yesterday, May 21, the daily maximum consumption was recorded in the evening. It was 1.8% lower than the maximum of the previous working day on May 20. This is explained by warming throughout Ukraine.
NPC Ukrenergo reminds that the power system is still being restored after the massive Russian missile and drone attacks. Emergency restoration work at energy facilities is ongoing. Therefore, active energy consumption today should be postponed to daytime. Energy experts urge to use powerful electrical appliances from 10:00 to 16:00, if possible.
It is noted that the situation in the power system may change, so it is worth following the messages on the websites and official pages in social networks of your distribution system operator (oblenergo).
