Ukrenergo records a trend towards a decrease in electricity consumption

23 June 2025

The energy system is balanced on June 23, no planned restrictions for consumers are foreseen

According to the press service of NPC Ukrenergo, today, Monday, June 23, electricity consumption is showing a downward trend. Thus, as of 9:30, its level was 3.3% lower than on the previous working day - Friday.

Ukrenergo explains this by the establishment of clear weather in most regions, which ensures the efficient operation of household solar power plants (SPPs).

Yesterday, June 22, the daily maximum consumption was recorded in the evening. It was at the same level as the maximum of the previous Sunday, June 15.

It is also reported that due to adverse weather conditions (thunderstorms, strong winds), 56 settlements in five regions were completely or partially without power on the morning of June 23. Repair crews of the regional energy company are already carrying out emergency restoration work to restore power to all subscribers as soon as possible.

In general, as of June 23, the system is balanced, and no planned restrictions for consumers are foreseen, the Ministry of Energy states.

At the same time, the Ministry of Energy and Ukrenergo are urging consumers to shift active energy consumption to daytime hours - to use powerful electrical appliances from 10:00 to 18:00. This will help reduce the load on the power system, as it continues to recover after massive Russian missile and drone attacks, and emergency restoration work is ongoing at energy facilities.

As reported by "Ukrainian Energy", electricity consumption in Ukraine on the previous working day, Friday, June 20, stabilized.
