Ukrenergo gave the appropriate instruction due to the difficult situation in the power system

In Ukraine, emergency power outages are being introduced in several regions on the instructions of NPC Ukrenergo.

According to information from regional distribution system operators (oblenergo), the power will be turned off, in particular, in Sumy, Chernihiv, Kirovohrad, and Poltava regions, reports Suspilne Noviny.

DTEK reported emergency outages in Kyiv, Kyiv region, Dnipropetrovsk region and Donetsk region. The corresponding order was given by Ukrenergo due to the difficult situation in the power system, the company says.

"Kyiv, Dnipro! Ukrenergo has given the command for emergency shutdowns. Consumption is very high, the power system needs to be unloaded. Do not take elevators and try to use energy-intensive appliances more economically," Serhiy Kovalenko, director of the energy supply company YASNO, also wrote on his Facebook page.

Ukrenergo has not applied measures to limit electricity consumption since December 17.

On December 19, Ukrenergo announced that it would continue to inform about power outages and restrictions only if the situation changes.

As reported by "Ukrainian Energy", еlectricity consumption in Ukraine increases due to falling temperatures. Energy experts ask not to turn on several powerful electrical appliances at the same time from 8:00 to 20:00.
