Since the beginning of the full-scale war, 36 countries have provided such assistance
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Ukraine has received 19,200 tons of humanitarian aid from partners to support the stable operation of the energy system. This is reported by the Ministry of Energy.
Ukraine receives from partners energy equipment, in particular transformers, necessary materials for carrying out repair and restoration works.
The priority direction of humanitarian aid to Ukraine's energy sector from international donors in September 2024 was the transfer of equipment to strengthen the stability of the energy system, to meet the urgent needs of the housing and communal sector before the start of heating.
Only in September, 5 countries approached Ukraine with offers of technical assistance. They provided equipment with an estimated cost of 10.5 million euros.
To implement the mechanism for receiving humanitarian aid, the Ministry of Energy uses the online platform AidEnergy - a "single window" for collecting, updating and informing donors about needs, processing and confirming proposals, distributing humanitarian aid and reporting. The implementation of projects with the support of ECHO - the European Commission's department for European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (European Commission's department for European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations) is also ongoing. This specialized EU institution promptly responds to Ukraine's needs for additional generators and cogeneration systems and other equipment to enhance Ukraine's energy efficiency.
As "Uкraynska energetika" wrote, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of NEC "Ukrenergo" managed to attract more than 1.5 billion euros of international support.
