Monitoring by Gasotheque in August: one supplier raises annual price
Like in July, prices from most companies do not exceed 9 hryvnias per cubic meter. The five leaders offering the lowest prices did not change, either.
Effective August 2021, one of the gas suppliers, Gas Company LLC, raised the annual price for household consumers in violation of the NEURC’s resolution, which allows only to lower prices under the annual tariff. This instance was recorded by the monthly monitoring of prices by Gasotheque service.
According to data by Gasotheque, the list of leading gazzbut companies offering the lowest prices remains unchanged: Agrosintez Trading (Neogas) with 7.8 hryvnias per cubic meter; EVODA Trade with 7.88 hryvnias; Cherkasygaz Zbut with 7.89 hryvnias; Umangaz Zbut with 7.89 hryvnias. Naftogaz GC continues to hold the fifth position in this ranking with the offer of 7.96 hryvnias.

At the same time, Gasotheque identified an unprecedented instance: effective August 2021, one of the gas suppliers, Gas Company LLC, raised the annual price for household consumers in violation of the NEURC’s resolution, which allows only to lower prices under the annual tariff.
According to data by Gasotheque, last month the annual price for household consumers from this company amounted to 12 hryvnias per cubic meter.

But their August price rose to 16 hryvnias per cubic meter.

“According to the NEURC Resolution 572 of 07.04.2021, a supplier cannot raise the price of the base annual offer. In this instance, the regulator can investigate the situation and penalize the company, based on complaints from the supplier’s customers or on the results of its own market monitoring,” DiXi Group expert Viktoria Tkachuk explains.
Gas Company LLC received a gas supplier’s license on 26 November 2019. The company is registered in the Rivne Oblast.

As reported earlier, in order to mitigate fluctuations in the gas market the National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission (NEURC) adopted a resolution introducing annual gas tariffs effective 1 May 2021.
For the duration of annual contract, the price can be changed only by lowering it. The price cannot be raised versus the one set as of 25 April. At the same time, suppliers can offer any other products for consumers. In addition, consumers have the option of changing a supplier.
