Naftogaz offers to decrease price of natural gas for households
NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine has sent to contractors the additional agreements containing the new price of natural gas for deliveries within the imposition of special duties, the company’s communications department has reported.
“The price is determined taking into account the requirements of the government resolutions as of May 8, 2019, No.380, ‘On amendments to Ukraine’s Cabinet of Ministers’ resolution as of April 3, 2019, No.293, and as of October 19, 2018, No.867 ‘On approving the clause on special duties on the natural gas market participants to ensure public interests in the process of functioning of the natural gas market,’ and amounts to UAH 5,990 per thousand cubic meters (excluding VAT and costs for transportation and distribution),” reads the statement.
It is noted that the new price will be UAH 245 per thousand cubic meters (almost 4%) lower than the price operated in April.
As reported, NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine earlier had asked the government to cancel the clause on the imposition of special duties, because otherwise the company would be obliged to raise the price of natural gas for households to UAH 7,184.80 per 1,000 cubic meters (excluding VAT and transportation) from May 1.
