Over 70 villages in Cherkasy region have lost power due to shelling

According to the press service of NPC Ukrenergo, as of the morning of January 28, 72 settlements in Cherkasy region were without electricity as a result of an attack by Russian drones on an energy facility. Power engineers will begin emergency restoration work immediately after receiving the necessary permits from the State Emergency Service.

Ukrenergo also reports that electricity consumption in Ukraine has decreased due to increased air temperature in all regions of Ukraine. Today, Tuesday, January 28, as of 9:30, its level was 2.7% lower than on the morning of the previous day - Monday.

Yesterday, January 27, the daily maximum consumption was recorded in the morning. It was 3.4% lower than the maximum of the previous working day - on Friday, January 24.

The Ukrainian power system is still recovering from massive Russian missile and drone attacks, the transmission system operator reminds. Emergency restoration work is ongoing at power facilities.

Consumers can learn about any situations in the power system from messages on the websites and official pages on social networks of regional distribution system operators (oblenergo).

As reported by "Ukrainian Energy", yesterday morning, Monday, January 27, the level of electricity consumption was 2.8% lower than the previous working day - Friday, January 24.
