Emergency power outage schedules implemented
On the night and morning of Thursday, November 28, the Russians launched a massive attack on Ukraine with strike drones and missiles.
"Attacks on energy facilities are taking place all over Ukraine," Energy Minister Herman Galushchenko wrote on his Facebook page. "The transmission system operator Ukrenergo has urgently introduced emergency power outages".
It is known that this morning, November 28, explosions were heard in the Lviv region during the air alert. The Russian Federation attacked energy infrastructure facilities with cruise missiles. This was reported by the head of the Lviv OVA Maksym Kozytsky. He promised to provide details later.
The air alert in the Lviv region was announced at 05:18 due to the threat of a missile strike. The Russian Federation launched "Caliber" from the Black Sea, as well as cruise missiles from the sides of the TU-95MS.
On the morning of November 28, several explosions were heard in several neighborhoods of Lutsk. Power supply was cut off in parts of the city. According to the head of the regional military administration, Ivan Rudnytsky, damage to critical infrastructure and outbuildings was recorded as a result of the missile attack. As of 09:30 in the morning, 215 thousand consumers in Volyn remain without power supply.
"All important infrastructure that was left without electricity has been switched to generators," Ivan Rudnytskyi reported. "The headquarters of the TPP and the Emergency Situations have been assembled to eliminate the consequences of the enemy attack. We are launching additional invincibility points, where there will be light, Internet, and heat. The fire has already been extinguished. All relevant services are working to restore heat, water, and electricity supplies as soon as possible."
The Russian army also launched a missile strike on the infrastructure of the Shostka community in the Sumy region. The necessary services are working on the scene.
This was reported by the OVA and added that the consequences of the attack are being clarified. According to the mayor of the city, Mykola Noga, several infrastructure facilities were destroyed in the community. One school, 12 multi-storey residential buildings, hospital premises, and water supply facilities were also damaged. Emergency shutdown schedules were introduced in the Sumy region in the morning.
