The amount is 825 million dollars.
On December 3, Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrii Sybiga and US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken signed a memorandum of understanding in the field of support for the Ukrainian energy sector.
"European Truth" writes about this with reference to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
The intergovernmental memorandum of understanding "on cooperation in ensuring the stability of the energy system of Ukraine" provides for the possibility of financial assistance in the amount of up to 825 million dollars.
The document, noted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, creates a legal framework for increasing the stability of Ukraine's energy system.
It is, in particular, about restoring critical infrastructure, introducing distributed generation, reforming the energy sector and promoting the post-war transition to a low-carbon economy.
As "Ukrainian Energy" reported, this year the USA has already allocated 825 million euros to Ukraine for energy recovery. These funds were directed to the repair and restoration of energy facilities damaged by previous Russian attacks.
