According to the press service of NPC Ukrenergo, due to adverse weather conditions (storm front, rain, and strong wind), as of the morning of Tuesday, July 8, 701 settlements in six regions were partially or completely without power.
"Repair crews of the regional energy company are already working to repair the damage. Power supply to all disconnected subscribers is expected by the end of the day," the transmission system operator said in a statement.
A storm raged in western Ukraine in the afternoon and evening of July 7, reports "Espresso.Zahid". The storm toppled trees and damaged buildings, and caused widespread power outages.
Thus, in the Rivne region, as of the morning of July 8, 61 settlements were completely without electricity, and 2 - partially, as a result of bad weather, said Oleksandr Koval, head of the Rivne Regional State Administration (RSA). 13,634 subscribers in all districts of the region remain without electricity. Power engineers and representatives of other services are working to restore power supply, the head of the Rivne Regional State Administration assures.
Due to strong gusts of wind and a thunderstorm on Monday evening and Tuesday night, as of the morning of July 8, 54 settlements were completely and 159 partially without power in various districts of the Lviv region, the press service of Lvivoblenergo informs.
79 Lvivoblenergo brigades, consisting of 339 employees, and 118 pieces of equipment are eliminating the consequences of the bad weather. By morning, power workers had restored power supply to about 90 settlements in the Lviv region.
As reported by "Ukrainian News", in Ternopil region 66 settlements of the region are without electricity, including 42 partially. 18 power lines are damaged. 8082 consumers remain without electricity in the service area of Zbarazhsky, Zborivsky, Berezhansky, Pidvolochysky, Ternopilsky, Kremenets REMs.
According to the head of the Chernivtsi OVA Ruslan Zaparanyuk, in some communities of the Chernivtsi region, as of the morning of July 8, 3,417 consumers were partially without power - in the villages of Bochkivtsi, Perebykivtsi, the settlement of Berehomet and the city of Vyzhnytsia. And in the regional center, power supply was restored at night.
In total, more than 32,000 subscribers in Bukovina were left without electricity due to the storm on the evening of July 7.
In Ivano-Frankivsk region, according to "Ukrainian News", due to the bad weather on Tuesday morning, 29 settlements remain completely without electricity and 36 - partially. 23 power lines were completely and 13 - partially out of power. Nadvirna, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kalusky, Kolomyia and Kosiv districts were most affected.
A night storm in the Mukachevo region of the Transcarpathian region left dozens of houses without roofs, and villages without electricity and communication, reports "Espresso.Zahed" with reference to information from journalist Vitaliy Glagola. In particular, in Velyki Luchki 80% of the village is without electricity, there is no communication. In Gorond and Strabichev - a complete power outage, people were left without electricity after midnight. In Nyzhny Davydkov - a partial power outage.
As reported by "Ukrainian Energy", the Russian army is purposefully attacking energy and gas facilities in Sumy region. On July 7, almost 20 thousand consumers in 147 settlements of the region were without electricity.
