On the morning of April 28, 43 settlements in five regions of Ukraine remain without power due to bad weather
"Due to adverse weather conditions (rain and gusts of wind), 43 settlements in five regions were completely or partially without electricity this morning," the press service of NPC Ukrenergo said in a statement.
The repair teams of the regional energy companies are already carrying out emergency and restoration work to restore power to all subscribers as soon as possible, energy experts assure. At the same time, it is noted that in front-line regions this work is complicated by the likely need to involve sappers during the inspection of damaged lines.
"Ukrenergo" also records an increase in the level of electricity consumption in the country. Thus, according to the transmission system operator, today, Wednesday, May 28, as of 9:30, the level of consumption was 2.6% higher than the corresponding time on Tuesday. This is explained by cloudy weather in most regions of Ukraine, which causes low efficiency of household solar power plants and a corresponding increase in energy consumption from the general network, energy experts say.
Yesterday, May 27, the daily maximum consumption was recorded in the evening. It was 1.5% lower than the maximum of the previous day - on Monday, May 26.
Given the weather conditions, Ukrenergo asks users to consume electricity economically, in particular, not to turn on several powerful electrical appliances at the same time from 10:00 to 22:00.
You can learn about possible changes in the situation in the power system from messages on the websites and official pages on social networks of regional distribution system operators (oblenergo).
As reported by "Ukrainian Energy", as of yesterday morning, Tuesday, May 27, residents of 51 settlements in two regions of Ukraine were left without electricity due to bad weather.
