Electricity consumption in Ukraine increases for the second week in a row. Energy experts ask to save electricity.
Due to strong winds and rain, 66 settlements in four regions of Ukraine – Chernivtsi, Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk and Mykolaiv – were without electricity this morning. This was reported by the Ukrenergo NPC.
Power engineers are working to restore power to all subscribers as soon as possible.
Electricity consumption is increasing. Today, December 10, at 6:30, its level was 2.8% higher than at the same time yesterday. On December 9, the daily maximum was recorded in the morning. It was 6.4% higher than the maximum of the previous working day - on Friday, December 6.
The power system is still recovering from eleven massive attacks by Russian forces, and there is still a significant capacity deficit. Emergency repairs are ongoing at power facilities, forcing the use of outages for residential consumers and power curtailment schedules for industry and business.
But the situation in the power system is changing, and accordingly, changes in the application of restrictive measures are possible. Find out the current schedule of outages in your region on the website or official pages of the distribution system operator (oblenergo).
Electricity imports from Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Hungary, and Moldova continue throughout the day. The total volume is 12,413 MWh, with a maximum capacity of up to 911 MW in individual hours.
As reported by "Ukrainian Energy", тhe Ministry of Energy has made changes to the power outage schedule. The maximum single duration of a power outage when using hourly power outage schedules cannot exceed 6 hours.
