The flow of natural gas to Ukraine from the countries of the European Union in 2022 amounted to 1 billion 835.9 million cub. m., which is 28.3% less than in 2021 (2 billion 561.7 million cub. m.).
This is evidenced by the data of Gas TSO of Ukraine (GTSOU) Interfax-Ukraine refers to.
According to the operator’s data, the supply of gas to the customs warehouse of underground gas storage facilities in 2022 amounted to 735.9 million cub. m. against 107.4 million cub. m. for 2021.
At the same time, the flow of gas to the GTS of Ukraine from Hungary amounted to 632,019 million cub. m. (in 2021 – 2 billion 197,848 million cub. m.), Slovakia – 597,933 million cub. m. (285.301 million cub. m.), Poland – 511,208 million cub. m. (78,587 million cub. m.), Romania – 94,692 million cub. m. (0).
Earlier, GTSOU reported that since the beginning of 2023, the interest of European traders in the services of the Ukrainian GTS and underground gas storage facilities had increased against the background of the drop in the price of gas in the EU and the filling of gas storage facilities by 80%.
The flow of natural gas to Ukraine from EU countries in the period from 1 January to 9 January 2023 amounted to 118 million cub. m. (including 24 million cub. m. to the customs warehouse) against 249.1 million cub. m (26.4 million cub. m.) – for entire December 2022 and 228 million cub. m. (191.1 million cub. m.) – for November.
