Electricity consumption in Ukraine increased on June 11

11 June 2025

As of Wednesday morning, the country's electricity consumption was 7.5% higher than the previous morning, due to lower efficiency of solar power plants

According to information from NPC Ukrenergo, today, Wednesday, June 11, as of 9:30 a.m., the level of electricity consumption in Ukraine was 7.5% higher than the previous day.

The reason for such changes is cloudy weather with precipitation in parts of the western and northwestern regions, which causes lower efficiency of household solar power plants (SPPs) and a corresponding increase in energy consumption from the general network.

Yesterday, Tuesday, June 10, the daily maximum consumption recorded in the evening remained at the same level as Monday's maximum.

The country's energy system is balanced on June 11, and no planned restrictions for consumers are foreseen, the Ministry of Energy assures.

At the country's energy facilities, energy workers are carrying out emergency restoration work after massive Russian missile and drone attacks, as well as scheduled equipment repairs for stable operation in the summer and readiness for the heating season.

Therefore, there is still a need to use electricity economically in order to reduce the load on the Ukrainian power system, the Ministry of Energy and Ukrenergo remind. Consumers are urged to shift active consumption to daytime, that is, to use powerful electrical appliances from 10:00 to 18:00.

As reported by "Ukrainian Energy", yesterday, June 10, "Ukrenergo" recorded a trend of decreasing electricity consumption. As of Tuesday morning, the level of electricity consumption in Ukraine was 7.7% lower than on the morning of the previous day, thanks to sunny, but not hot, weather.
