This became possible after hydraulic fracturing.
Ukrnafta is actively conducting operations to intensify production with the involvement of third-party contractors: the flow rate from the developed wells has already increased 4.2 times, and additional production amounted to almost 13 thousand tons of oil and more than 6 million cubic meters of gas. This was reported by the company.
A significant number of wells in the company's production fund are experiencing a decrease in the permeability of the bottomhole zone of the formations, which is leading to a drop in production.
One of the most effective methods of intensification is hydraulic fracturing (HF). After its application, the permeability of the formations increases, and the productivity of the wells increases. As a result, we obtain additional oil and gas production.
Some operations are carried out by engaged partners. Of the 35 planned well operations with hydraulic fracturing, 33 hydraulic fracturing operations have been carried out by an external contractor in Eastern and Western Ukraine. More than 20 wells are already operational.
"More than 90% of the facilities have achieved the design indicators of additional production, and the success rate is 92%," said Serhiy Koretsky, Director of PJSC "Ukrnafta". "In general, the total throughput increased by 4.2 times, from 71.8 to 303.7 tons per day, which brought additional production of more than 12.7 tons of oil and over 6.4 million cubic meters of gas."
Given the successful and positive results, the program will continue. 30 additional hydraulic fracturing operations are planned by an external contractor in the first half of 2025.
As reported by Ukrainian Energy, specialists from PJSC Ukrnafta launched a pilot project of a flow-diverting method to increase oil recovery at two injection wells and received 2.6 thousand tons of additional oil and condensate production.
