Novatek is the largest Russian private gas trader with close ties of its owners with the Kremlin. Even though new rounds of sanctions against the Russian Federation should have a profound indirect impact on Novatek activities, it is essential to look at all the tentacles of this Russian energy “octopus’ to see where they can be “cut off”. The DiXi Group think tank conducted the research on the example of this company.
