Storms cut off power to 12 settlements in three regions
As of the morning of May 20, 12 settlements in Ukraine remained completely or partially without power due to bad weather
According to NPC Ukrenergo, due to difficult weather conditions (heavy rain and thunderstorms), 12 settlements in three regions were completely or partially without electricity on the morning of May 20, 2025.
There are also local network damages in other regions, and repair teams of the regional power company are already working to restore power to all subscribers as soon as possible, the system operator reports.
Electricity consumption as of 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 20, was at the same level as at the same time the previous day and is in line with seasonal trends. Yesterday, May 19, the daily maximum consumption was recorded in the evening. It corresponded to the maximum consumption of the previous working day, Friday, May 16.
Ukrenergo reminds that the Ukrainian power system continues to recover after massive Russian missile and drone attacks. Emergency restoration work at power facilities is ongoing.
The situation in the power system may change, the transmission system operator emphasizes. To learn about changes, follow the messages on the websites and official social media pages of your distribution system operator (oblenergo).
