The funds will be used to cover the company's critical operational costs and maintain liquidity
The corresponding agreement was signed on October 30 by the head of NEC "Ukrenergo" Oleksiy Brecht and the director of the Energy Department in Europe of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), Grzegorz Zelinski, informs the press service of the transmission system operator.
"Ukrenergo" emphasizes that the EBRD is a reliable partner of the company, which provides substantial support during the war.
It is noted that previous grants and loans from the bank were directed to the needs of restoring the transmission system network and purchasing expensive equipment, in particular auto transformers.
The funds were also directed to support the company's liquidity in difficult conditions. In addition, the EBRD finances works on the installation of passive protection at key Ukrenergo substations.
As "Ukrainian Energy" reported, тhe EBRD is preparing to provide a $62 million long-term loan to the companies "Wind Power GS I Volyn" and "Wind Power GS I Volyn 3" for the construction of a wind power plant with a capacity of 147 MW in the Volyn region.
