The Ukrainian Defense Forces have struck several important occupiers' targets, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported.
On the night of January 21, for the second time in a week, drones of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck the Liskinska oil depot in the Voronezh region of Russia.
"As a result of the strike, carried out in cooperation with other components of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, tanks with fuel and lubricants, which the occupiers provide to the Russian troops, are burning. The enterprise belongs to one of the largest Russian state corporations, Rosneft," the General Staff said in a statement.
In addition, the Defense Forces, in particular the Unmanned Systems Forces and the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, struck the infrastructure of the Smolensk Aviation Plant in the Smolensk region of the Russian Federation, where combat aircraft are also modernized and produced. Explosions were recorded on the territory of the aircraft plant.
The strikes on the command posts of the Russian occupation army are also ongoing. In particular, a strike was carried out on the command post 29 of the combined arms army of the Russian Federation in temporarily occupied Volnovakha in the Donetsk region. There are reports of explosions and smoke in the area of the target.
The results of the attacks are being clarified.
"Targeted and systematic combat work, with the aim of enhancing the effect of sanctions pressure, on important facilities of the Russian invaders will continue until the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against our country is stopped," the General Staff emphasizes.
As reported by "Ukrainian Energy", on the night of January 16, 2025, the Defense Forces units had already attacked the Liskinskaya oil depot in the Voronezh region of the Russian Federation. At that time, at least three attack UAVs were recorded hitting the target, and the facility was on fire.
