Electricity consumption in Ukraine has increased
Energy experts ask not to turn on several powerful appliances at the same time during peak consumption hours in the morning and evening: 09:00 - 11:00 and 16:00 - 19:00
As reported by NPC Ukrenergo, electricity consumption has increased. Today, January 21, its level at 9:00 was 3.3% higher than on Monday. The regulator cites cloudy weather in most regions and a decrease in the efficiency of household solar power plants as the reason.
"On January 20, the daily maximum consumption was recorded in the evening. It was 4.4% lower than the maximum of the previous working day. The reason for this difference is the higher air temperature in most regions," Ukrenergo said in a statement.
The department reminds that the power system is currently continuing to recover after massive Russian missile and drone attacks. Emergency restoration work at power facilities is ongoing.
However, the situation in the power system may change. Follow the messages on the websites and official social media pages of your distribution system operator (oblenergo).
As reported by "Ukrainian Energy", on January 20, the level of electricity consumption was 2.5% lower than at this time of the previous working day due to sunny weather and warming.
