Electricity consumption increased due to cloudy weather and rain
There is a need to shift active energy consumption to daytime - from 10:00 to 16:00
Electricity consumption has increased, according to NPC Ukrenergo. On Friday, May 23, at 9:30, its level was 5.2% higher than at the same time the previous day.
The reason is said to be cloudy weather with rain in some western regions, which causes lower efficiency of household solar power plants.
It is noted that on May 22, the daily maximum consumption was recorded in the evening. It was 1.7% lower than the maximum of the previous working day. "This is explained by a significant increase in temperature in all regions of Ukraine," Ukrenergo said in a statement.
Currently, the Ukrainian power system continues to recover after massive Russian missile and drone attacks. Emergency restoration work at energy facilities is ongoing. If possible, energy professionals are asked to postpone the use of powerful electrical appliances to the period of the most effective operation of solar power plants - from 10:00 to 16:00.

As "Ukrainian Energy" reported, 7 wind power plants are being built in Ukraine in 2025. The total capacity of projects ready for implementation, according to the chairman of the board of the Ukrainian Wind Energy Association, is 4 GW.
