In order to minimize damage, protective systems are being built around energy facilities
During a working trip to Zaporizhia region, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal inspected an energy facility that was damaged by a Russian strike. The head of government reported this on his Telegram channel.
He recalled that the energy infrastructure is constantly under Russian shelling, which particularly affects frontline regions.
"In order to minimize damage, we are implementing projects to build protection systems around energy facilities. This is a priority task for each region," Denys Shmyhal noted.
In general, according to him, the Cabinet of Ministers has already allocated more than UAH 10 billion to strengthen the protection of the Ukrainian energy system.
As reported by "Ukrainian Energy", IAEA experts documented damage to critical substations important for the operation of Ukrainian nuclear power plants, which were attacked by Russian troops in November-December 2024.
