One person was killed, 24 were injured. Over 20,000 subscribers were left without electricity. The head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration, Ivan Fedorov, reported on the consequences of the enemy attack on Zaporizhzhia on the night of January 23.
"During the night, Russian troops attacked the regional center twice. They destroyed one of the energy facilities with "Shaheds". Residents and critical infrastructure facilities - boiler rooms, healthcare and social security institutions - were left without electricity," Ivan Fedorov said in a Telegram message.
It is noted that the alert in Zaporizhia lasted for over 6 hours. In the morning, the Russians struck again - this time with ballistic missiles.
24 people were injured, including a two-month-old baby. Rescuers and energy workers who were eliminating the consequences of the enemy attack on the energy facility were also injured.
"Currently, more than 20 thousand subscribers remain without electricity, another 17 thousand without heat. All services are working at the scene of the accident, and philanthropists have also joined the liquidation of the consequences. Immunity points have been deployed," the regional state administration said in a statement.
As reported by "Ukrainian Energy", the Russian army again attacked the previously destroyed TPP "Centrenergo". According to preliminary estimates, the company's losses from previous attacks on its thermal power plants already exceed 250 million euros.
