"Shahed" flew over the nuclear power plant at a low altitude
Today, October 28, around 6 o'clock in the morning, a Russian missile flew critically close to one of the power units of the Khmelnytsky NPP. This was reported by Energoatom.
"With the onset of the autumn-winter period, Russian troops traditionally intensify the energy terror of Ukrainian nuclear power plants: they create new risks for the safe operation of nuclear facilities," the company said in a statement.
"The enemy deliberately violates the principles of nuclear and radiation safety of the NPP, resorting to open terrorism. This must be stopped as soon as possible, because the consequences can be felt by the entire continent," emphasized Petro Kotin, head of Energoatom.
In the conditions of war, Ukraine demands from the world community an adequate reaction and decisive actions to stop terrorist attacks on critical infrastructure objects.
As "Ukrainian Energy" reported, this morning the Russians struck the energy infrastructure of the Sumy region. Schedules of emergency power outages have been introduced in two districts of the region.
