Any missile or drone strike, any critical accident in Ukraine's energy system can lead to a nuclear disaster. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated this during his speech at the UN General Assembly.

The head of state thanked the members of the General Assembly for the adoption in July of this year of the resolution on the safety of nuclear facilities in Ukraine. "The majority of the world understands what is at stake.

The General Assembly demanded that Russia return control of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant to Ukraine. then Europe and only the world will return to real nuclear security," the President said. Volodymyr Zelenskyi together that Russia will eliminate targeted attacks on Ukrainian power plants and the energy network in general. The aggressor state has already destroyed all thermal power plants and a significant part of Ukraine's hydropower capacities.

"Recently, I received another alarming message from our intelligence. It appears that Putin is indeed planning attacks on our nuclear power plants and their infrastructure to disconnect the plants from the grid. With the help of satellites, by the way, from other countries, Russia receives images and detailed information about the infrastructure of our nuclear power plants," he noted.

This can lead to a nuclear catastrophe, and the Russian Federation will understand this only thanks to the determination and pressure of the world. The President called to unite and support the Peace Formula, where the first point is the issue of nuclear safety.
